Hey Tarnished! 🗡️✨ It's your fellow adventurer back with another deep dive. We all know the heart-pounding thrill of a FromSoftware boss fight, right? But the real reward often comes after the victory screen—those sweet, sweet remembrance weapons! Elden Ring gives us an incredible choice: a powerful rune for a passive boost, or a unique weapon and gear set that can define your entire playthrough. Let me share my personal ranking and experiences with the top remembrance weapons that have absolutely carried me through the Lands Between.
10. Dragon King’s Cragblade ⚡

This beauty is your prize for taking down the epic Dragonlord Placidusax. Honestly, its Dexterity scaling is... not great. 😅 But don't let that fool you! It's a heavy thrusting sword that packs a serious physical and lightning punch. The real star is its Ash of War: Thundercloud Form. You literally turn into a storm cloud and zip across the battlefield! The poise on this move is insane—almost nothing can interrupt you. The hitbox can be a bit finicky, but the style points and utility for closing gaps are unmatched.
9. Marika’s Hammer 🔨

You get this after beating the final boss, the Elden Beast. It's a solid hammer, perfect for power-stancing or pairing with a shield. Its Ash of War, Gold Breaker, creates a massive holy explosion. The damage is HUGE, but it's soooo slow. I've whiffed this move more times than I care to admit, both in PvE and PvP. The scaling across Strength, Dex, and Faith is also pretty mediocre. It's a fun weapon to try if you're curious about hammers, but there are better options from the same boss.
8. Morgott’s Cursed Sword 🩸

Oh, this weapon holds a special place in my bleed-build heart. Defeat Morgott, the Omen King, and this curved greatsword is yours. The scaling? Again, not amazing. But who cares when it has a passive bleed buildup of 60?! In Elden Ring, bleed is king, and this weapon applies it like a pro. Its unique skill, Cursed-Blood Slice, does a wide horizontal slash that builds up bleed fast. The main drawback is its attack speed—it feels a bit sluggish. But if you want to make bosses hemorrhage, this is a fantastic choice.
7. Hand Of Malenia 💃

The ultimate trophy for defeating the game's hardest boss, Malenia. This katana has a lower bleed buildup (50) than Morgott's sword, but it's faster and has one of the coolest Ashes of War in the game: Waterfowl Dance. You become a whirlwind of slashes, just like Malenia herself! It melts single targets and clears rooms. The Dexterity scaling is decent, and the sheer satisfaction of using Malenia's own move against other enemies is priceless. A must-have for dex/bleed enthusiasts.
6. Sacred Relic Sword ✨

The other weapon from the Elden Beast. This is a faith-based greatsword, though its scaling in Strength, Dex, and Faith is unfortunately underwhelming. Don't sleep on it because of that! Its Ash of War, Wave of Gold, is legendary. It sends out a massive, wide golden wave that can clear entire fields of enemies. This move alone makes it the best rune-farming tool in the game. Pop a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot, head to a certain cliff in Mohgwyn Palace, and watch the runes pour in. For utility and crowd control, it's S-tier.
5. Starscourge Greatsword 🌌

Awarded for defeating the beloved Starscourge Radahn. This is a colossal sword that deals monstrous physical damage and even some magic damage. It's one of the few melee weapons that scales with Intelligence, though it has a high Strength requirement. Its Ash of War, Starcaller Cry, is a gravity move that pulls enemies in before slamming down. It's incredibly slow and hard to land in hectic fights, but when it connects? Pure satisfaction. A powerhouse for strength/int hybrid builds.
4. Carian Regal Scepter 📜

Sorcerers, assemble! This staff from Rennala is arguably the best all-around staff in the game. It gets S-tier Intelligence scaling early on and boosts all Full Moon sorceries. Its biggest perk? Amazing FP conservation. Early to mid-game, this is a lifesaver. By late game, you might want more raw damage, but the efficiency is still top-notch. The Ash of War, Spinning Weapon, is a fun close-range twirl but isn't super practical. For any dedicated mage, this scepter is a cornerstone of your build.
3. Maliketh’s Black Blade ☠️

Obtained from the fierce Maliketh, this colossal sword is a beast. It scales with Strength and Faith, offering huge physical damage. Its Ash of War, Destined Death, is what makes it shine. It's a multi-hit AOE slam that not only deals great damage but also applies a health drain over time and reduces the enemy's maximum HP. This effect is brutal in PvP and still very useful in PvE. It's flashy, powerful, and makes you feel like the embodiment of death itself. A top-tier choice for heavy weapon enjoyers.
2. Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear 🩸🔥

This Great Spear from Mohg, Lord of Blood, has some of the worst scaling among remembrance weapons... and yet, it's absolutely broken. Why? Its Ash of War, Bloodboon Ritual. You plunge the spear into the ground, creating a massive explosion of blood flame that causes insane bleed buildup. You can spam this repeatedly! After using it, your basic attacks even get a fire damage buff. The range, the AOE, the bleed—it's a recipe for melting everything in your path. Easily the best Great Spear, no contest.
1. Blasphemous Blade 🙏🔥

And here we are. The king. The GOAT. The Blasphemous Blade from Rykard isn't just the best remembrance weapon; it's arguably one of the best weapons in Elden Ring, period. This Greatsword deals physical and fire damage. But its passive effect is what makes it trivialize the game: you heal a portion of your HP with every single hit. Yes, EVERY hit. Boss fight? Heal through it. Mobs? Heal through them.
Its Ash of War, Taker's Flames, is a long-range, linear AOE blast that also steals health. The scaling isn't elite, but who needs perfect scaling when you're virtually unkillable? This weapon is a safety net, a crowd-clearer, and a boss-melter all in one. If you're struggling or just want to feel overpowered, trade Rykard's Remembrance for this blade. You won't regret it.
So there you have it, my fellow Tarnished! These weapons have shaped my journey through the Lands Between. Remember, the best weapon is the one that fits your playstyle and brings you joy. Now go out there, claim those remembrances, and become Elden Lord! 💪🌟 What's your favorite remembrance weapon? Let me know in the comments!
